Our Co-Founder, Durgha Ramji attended the National #WomenED Unconference representing Mindful Warriors and meeting women educators and leaders who make an impact!
I attended the WomenED National Unconference on Saturday- and what a day it was! The theme this year was focused on the WomenEd value of ‘Collaboration’.
The day is called an unconference because it is an open and democratic event that is led by participants. There were over 60 facilitators this year, leading 36 workshops, 3 #LeadMeets and 12 regional networking sessions.
The fantastic network of strong, passionate and driven women educators and leaders is a great source of support, inspiration and courage.
The day was a fantastic opportunity to share our work at Mindful Warriors to take yoga and mindfulness to schools and the wider community. We received lots of positive feedback about our Mindful Warriors programme which is exciting!
The workshop I most enjoyed was 'Digging Deep - Finding the courage to go after what you want', led by Umber Sharif. The simple exercise of a road identifying the key questions listed in the image below are a great tool for self reflection and also can be applied to organisational development.
As a social enterprise start up we look to seek feedback and review our practise to ensure we are 'Digging Deep' to really offer a service which make an impact and supports school leaders to promote mental health and well being through the practice of yoga and mindfulness in schools.
Thank you #WomenEd for a wonderful day. I take away stories, connections and new friends - and we plan to collaborate!
